La Real Embajada de Noruega en México y el Centro por la Justicia y el Derecho Internacional (CEJIL), en lo sucesivo, los “contratantes”, invitan a participar en la actual licitación para llevar a cabo una evaluación externa intermedia del Proyecto Institucional de CEJIL Mesoamérica, 2015-2019.

El objetivo es realizar una evaluación intermedia externa e independiente  del plan institucional CEJIL Mesoamérica 2015-2019. El propósito principal es medir el grado de avance del cumplimiento de los propósitos del proyecto, su eficacia, eficiencia, pertinencia, y sostenibilidad de sus resultados.

The Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL) seeks a fundraising officer to implement its individual donors fundraising strategy, under the supervision of the Executive Direction. This position will be based in Washington, D.C. Established in 1991 by a group of prominent Latin American human rights defenders, CEJIL is a non-governmental organization whose mission is the promotion and protection of human rights in the Americas through the use of the Inter-American Human Rights System and other international mechanisms of protection. Responsibilities

  1. Implement CEJIL’s individual donors fundraising strategy;
  2. Prospect and Identify annual giving constituents;
  3. Cultivate and solicit individual and, in some cases, corporate annual giving donors.
  4. Elaborate writing and other fundraising materials to engage prospects and cultivate donors, in coordination with the communication area;
  5. Organize events, webinars, cocktails, brownbag-lunches and others in order to engage with prospects or cultivate donors;
  6. Recruit, and manage interns to carry out the fundraising plan;
  7. Manage and update databases to record donor contacts and other relevant information;
  8. Research and search for new prospects, including, but not limited to, academics, family foundations, law firms partners and associates;
  9. Engage with individual donors and prospects, through emails, telephone calls, meetings and presentations;
  10. Assist with general administrative and communication tasks related to the position;

Qualifications

  1. Demonstrate a strong commitment to CEJIL’s mission, purpose and values;
  2. Bachelor degree in related field (Masters preferred but not required);
  3. Three years of work experience and proven record of having secured funds;
  4. Strong communicational skills and the ability to develop contents and arguments that will enable engagement with prospects;
  5. Exceptional interpersonal skills with high degree of emotional intelligence, possess cultural agility skills to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals and communities;
  6. Ability to write, edit, and communicate fluently in English (Spanish preferred but not required);
  7. Ability to work on own initiative and work with others as part of a team;
  8. Ability to work under pressure and on various projects at once;
  9. Knowledge of local philanthropy, individual and business wealth in the region to be served;
  10. Ability to work on digital platforms, microsites, CMR platforms (Salsalabs) will be considered a plus;
  11. Willingness to travel around the region and work in a multicultural environment.
