The 46th OAS General Assembly will be held in Dominican Republic
The Assembly is expected to take place on June 13th, 14th and 15th June 2016 in Santo Domingo.

Dominican Foreign Minister, architect Andres Navarro and Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro signed the agreement to host the celebration in Santo Domingo of the Forty-Sixth Ordinary General Assembly of that organization regional, scheduled from 13 to 15 June this year.

At the ceremony held at the headquarters of the OAS, were also present Deputy Secretary General Nestor Mendez; Michael Ronald Sanders, president of the Permanent Council and the General Commission and the ambassadors permanent representatives of the member countries and permanent observers of the multilateral organization.
In his speech on behalf of the Dominican government speech, Foreign Minister Navarro said the Dominican Republic is a great honor to hold the headquarters of the OAS General Assembly, and a faithful expression of commitment to contribute to the institutional development of the organism, "Task to which my country will be devoted in body and soul, guided by the new foreign policy launched by our President Danilo Medina. "

He said the General Assembly next June will be held exactly 10 years after the country was home to the thirty-sixth session of the regional body in 2006.
