Dominican Foreign Minister, architect Andres Navarro and Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro signed the agreement to host the celebration in Santo Domingo of the Forty-Sixth Ordinary General Assembly of that organization regional, scheduled from 13 to 15 June this year.

In his speech on behalf of the Dominican government speech, Foreign Minister Navarro said the Dominican Republic is a great honor to hold the headquarters of the OAS General Assembly, and a faithful expression of commitment to contribute to the institutional development of the organism, "Task to which my country will be devoted in body and soul, guided by the new foreign policy launched by our President Danilo Medina. He said the General Assembly next June will be held exactly 10 years after the country was home to the thirty-sixth session of the regional body in 2006.
